Review of « God’s Litte Princess Devotional Bible » by Sheila Walsh.  This review is part of the Thomas Nelson Book Review Blogger Program now called Book Sneeze.

My 4 yr old daughter liked it and was excited the moment she saw the cover.  A princess’ crown with a jewel along with pink lettering.  What better choices to attract a little girl’s curiosity.  I bought « God’s Little Princess Devotional Bible » with the hopes of going through it with my daughter.  I did for a while and then my wife took over.

We’ve appreciated the format and especially the variety.  Wether it be dress-up, singing and dancing or application stories and ideas, my 4 yr old caught on more than I had expected.  Being a very creative little girl and not one for typical structure, this book was just right for her.  The unusual layout of the pages struck me right away and, quite frankly, turned me off a bit.  My eyes didn’t quite know where to settle.  Not a problem for my daughter though.  The colors, the pictures and not knowing what the next page holds, keeps her attention and concentration.  She likes to sneak a peek at the following story.

So when I first received the book and looked through it I wasn’t convinced it was what I had been looking for.  Turned out to be ok and better than expected.  In then end it doesn’t really matter what I think.  My little princess thinks it’s great.
